Hungarian Research Institutions and EMBL Strengthen Ties

Innovation and Technology Minister László Palkovics and the Director General of the European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL) Edith Heard reached an agreement on Monday that Hungarian research institution and the EMBL will further strengthen their cooperation.

 

The new areas for cooperation include pressing biological and environmental challenges, including the joint management of infectious diseases. EMBL conducts world-class biological research, provides training for students and scientists, and provides state-of-the-art technologies for a wide range of scientific and experimental services at its six sites. Hungarian universities, research institutes and companies are currently participating in fourteen international research and cooperation projects in partnership with EMBL.
