1 of 4 university and college students won’t get their diploma due to the lack of language exam certificates.

Most of these students go to a language school in summer and try to pass a language exam there. Language teachers, however, say that unless a student has a good basic knowledge, a few summer months are not enough for preparation. Luckily, the state examination certificate doesn’t expire so students can defer passing a language exam even for years.
Out of the 5000 graduates in Debrecen 1500 didn’t receive their diplomas due to the lack of language exam certificates. Experience shows that most students in this situation are very quick to acquire the necessary things. András Jávor, Vice-Rector of the University of Debrecen says that they are able to hand over most of the diplomas within one year from passing the state exam.
