Marcell Jankovics, honorary president of the Hungarian Academy of Arts (MMA), artist of the nation, cartoonist, graphic artist, book illustrator, and cultural historian, died at the age of 80, MMA told MTI on Saturday.
A total of 84 titles will be shown at the Hungarian Motion Picture Festival between June 23-26 in the Lake Balaton region, in western Hungary, the programme director said.
The Festival Academy Budapest chamber music series, founded by the Hungarian violinists Katalin Kokas and Barnabás Kelemen, is to be held at various venues in the capital from July 16 to 25, including at the Ferenc Liszt Academy of Music, the Budapest Music Centre and the Rumbach Sebestyén Street Synagogue.
