Plastic Free July starts on Monday

Global

Plastic Free July is a global movement that helps millions of people be part of the solution to plastic pollution.

Plastic Free July is a campaign led by the Plastic Free Foundation. The movement has inspired over 120 million participants in 177 countries. You making a small change will collectively make a massive difference to our communities. You can choose to refuse single-use plastics in July (and beyond!). Best of all, being part of Plastic Free July will help you to find great alternatives that can become new habits forever.

Ideas to reduce plastic waste:

Bring a reusable coffee cup or dine-in at your local café.

Find plastic-free alternatives when buying fruit & veggies.

Bring your own reusable shopping bags and help reduce plastic waste.

Refuse plastic straws when buying a drink & BYO reusable alternative!

Are you recycling, composting, or avoiding waste correctly?

Share the solutions to single-use plastics and inspire people with a fun picnic.

Get crafty with your bin liners and help make a huge impact:

Lining the bin with a few sheets of newspaper

  • Using certified compostable bin liner bags
  • Using the bin as a ‘naked bin’, and simply washing it out as needed
  • Use alternatives to cling wrap and reduce plastic pollution.

BYO reusable water bottle instead of buying plastic ones.

Join (or create) a group of people doing Plastic Free July.
